Prayagraj city is well connected to all major Cities in India via the Indian Railways network. Apart from regular trains, 1,200 special trains will operate during Maha Kumbh. Trains will run from Prayagraj Junction, Subedarganj, Naini, Cheoki, Prayagraj Rambagh, Jhunsi, Prayagraj Sangam, Prayag, and Phaphamau stations in the city.

At a time when the state government has decided to enhance the facilities at the Prayagraj airport in view of Maha Kumbh 2025, the Sangam city will not only be having a much bigger, better equipped airport but will also have direct air connectivity from all the major cities of the country.
Prayagraj city is well connected to the National and State Highway network for transportation via road. State run buses are available from many major destinations across the country. Routes are available and booking can be made from the UPSRTC (Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation) Many private operators also run private buses on routes from major cities.
Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) will add more than 5,000 new buses to its fleet to make it easier for devotees to get to Prayagraj for the 2025 Maha Kumbh.
