Safety

The vast majority of trips in India are trouble free. Indians are very hospitable and helpful people, but as with any trip it’s important to be vigilant and take any regular precaution. We recommend just stick with our plans and keep the site manager informed on your movements. We offer extended services and hence you are not required to venture out alone specially after its dark. As a basic safety measure, we recommend:

  • Opt for accommodation in vicinity of Sangam area.
  • Minimise the items you carry with you. If you carry a bag, make sure the strap is over your shoulder, away from the road to deter thieves on motorbikes from snatching it.
  • Take extra care at night and avoid isolated areas.
  • Be particularly vigilant travelling at night, especially if you’re alone. Stick to well-used, well-lit roads.
  • Be wary of pickpockets, especially in crowded areas.
  • Save the emergency contact number listed in bottom of our website.
